On November 20 2025 with the introduction of Engine 12 and especially E12x2 - we changed the name of our Pacific 3 to Pacific 5, skipping the number 4 to keep naming clarity and integrity across our catalog (With Amber 5, Baltic 5, Atlantic 5 and Golden Gate 5)  â€‹â€‹

Pacific was for 4 years on top of our lineup, as so called flagship. The invisible DAC. It has no sonic signature. It does not get in the way, between you and the music. New Pacific-2, debut May 1st 2023 - took this good concept to a whole new level. We introduced the Engine Eleven-P chipset for conversion duties which created a whole new class od DAC. The musicality, timbre, space, soundstage, stereo effect, goosebumps, bass, meat, plankton - EVERYTHING we love about the audiophile hobby is there in spades.

Our Lampizator R&D laboratory spent 15 years refining one product - with an obsession of good sound in mind - the DAC. We have arrived at this design as the culmination of that research efforts. In average we prototyped one new board for the DAC per week. Listening to it  proves, that it was well worth it. If it could only look as good as it sounds!

Pacific has all the elements that constitute an ultra audiophile product: zero feedback design, latest and best digital conversion technology, tube power supply, active tube anode loading, Directly Heated Triodes in single ended scheme, copper capacitors, and many other features designed with one thing in mind - pure music.

In January 2025 we redesigned the Pacific mechanics: created new subframe floor with all CNC provisions for mounting, added new chassis similar to that of Poseidon, improved the transformers, the inputs and outputs, made new OLED display with new firmware, new user interface - instead of a rotary knob we have three buttons. 

The new Pacific3 DAC is elegant, modern and yet it retains all the DHT sound that we are famous for.

• CANCELLED:  in Pacific 2 we cancelled the LAN input with possibility to install ROON BRIDGE.

The upgrade:  Engine 11-P in your older PACIFIC DAC
 

• Any Pacific DAC no matter the age or variant can be upgraded to the "Engine Eleven-P" status for a fixed price of 4000 Euro. We replace the whole digital section and also the LAN input is gone - we remove the LAN input in favor of the AES/EBU, TOSLINK, SPDIF and USB.

• Older Amanero USB cards get replaced with the newest JL-USB.

• Shipping and customs fees are in addition to the 4000 Euro fee.

• The upgraded DAC gets a 3 years warranty (excluding tubes).​

NOTE: The Pacific 1 after upgrade will be identical to Pacific-2 but we will not rename it. The name of the original production stays. You get the Pacific-2 sound but without the "2" in the name. You get a sticker with ELEVEN certificate.

SPECIAL NOTE - VOLUME CONTROL: during 2024 and first half of 2025 we  were offering ONLY  Pacifics with installed volume control  and no other option. From July 2025 we added a special version which has remote control handheld IR unit, OLED display, and functionality of: standby / Power, MUTE, input changing, switching. Just the volume control is removed. This is a convenience variant that is for the purists who have the preamp.
